I just wanted to thank you for the fantastic weekend at Wild Eagle Lodge where I participated in your Ice Fishing School. I can honestly say that I had one of the best fishing weekends of my life! You put together a fantastic program that far exceeded my expectations. I was thrilled to return home and tell my family and friends that not only did I learned a great deal about ice fishing techniques but I actually caught walleye, northern pike, and largemouth bass through the ice! Muskie Matt is a fantastic instructor and it was a pleasure spending the weekend learning from him. My only disappointment came on Sunday evening when, with the sun setting, it was time to pull up the last tip-up and end this great winter getaway! Thanks again.

Matt, I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you thanks for the input on fishing Cauldron Falls . I fished the exact spots that you had marked on my map. I have fished this lake many times (with minimal success I might add) but never thought about fishing those spots. I used a bucktail the exact color and blade shape you recommended and it didn’t take long before I landed the biggest fish of my lifetime, a 47 inch musky. Thanks for all the helpful info, you’re the greatest. One more thing I had better mention, I caught it on the figure eight, a BIG figure eight making sure I didn’t turn the bait back over the same path, just like you taught me. Wayne E. Matt, I just wanted to drop you a note thanking you for the "landing a big fish through the ice video." I saw your video and thought, maybe this will help in case I catch anything good. The first tip-up that went up turned out to be a 30 some inch, I don't know how heavy, Northern Pike. I stuck my entire arm through 18 inches of ice to get this fish by the gill, otherwise he was almost as big as the hole. My biggest fish ever through the ice! Thanks again, and keep the video tips coming.
